If you don't like it then just make sure you customize the privacy features in your account info.
I suggest this because your friends can 'tag' you in at a location even if you aren't there.
ie - pretend that you are at a stripclub and send it out to everyone......believe me, some people's friends will do stuff like this as a joke....and some will do it out of spite.
Could make for some funny encounters.....HS kids are going to get a huge kick out of this...

If you survived reading that entire installment, I commend you.
If you have reached the end without reading the middle, that is quite fine, just give your advice on how to talk to women.
the most common trait that women look for (so i have been told) from a first impression is self confidence. Walk proud (not cocky), smile (genuinely) and own your surroundings (look comfortable). Dress approriately, being well kept and neat.
You say you have a friend that doesnt know about Macs, so bring him to the store, and make sure that she notices you informing him about the benefits of a mac, not in a cocky way like some do, but rather in a way that will make him want to switch. If she notices this, you now have a common interest. Thats assuming that she enjoys working be at the Apple store, but it is a pretty safe bet considering most mac employees do.
When she walks by you, forget something about the product you are describing to your friend, and ask her to take it from there. Making her feel important for something other than her physical attributes is key.
Praise her for her help and that fact that she is well informed. Make sure she knows that her intervention changed a decision or outlook. Everyone wants to be influential in some way.
Hopefully by then, you can steer the conversation towards finding another reason that you two should run into each other again. That DOES NOT mean to ask her out or for her number, but rather find out when they have a good class going on, when coincidentally she is working. Humble yourself, and take a iMovie class or two if it results in you bumping into her again.
If you do get a chance to talk to her again, BE CREATIVE! Send her an instant message on iChat from across the store... save her from a masked man robbing the store at gun...., well you get the picture.
Lastly, Dont get to into detail in this post... there is a possibly she or one of her co-workers cruises the macrumors forums, and she could find this really creepy or really cool :D

While I personally think that OSX 10.7 Lion will be made available via DVD, I also think there will be USB-Stick versions. I cannot think of a way that Lion will be made availabe via app store, this makes no sense - maybe they will sell just the update from SL to Lion via the appstore, but definitely not the retail versions.

Maybe we should also tell women that in the name of personal responsibility, they need to learn how to detect cervical cancer their own damn self. Maybe we should also tell a guy with Chlamydia that he should buy a chemistry set and invent his own damn cure.
Other organizations do that stuff also. The majority of Planned Parenthood's business is abortions.

I have the same problem.. it might be. may it be that mac version is not available if submitted computer stats are of a pc?That can't be it, because I gave mac specs, and had an option to download the pc or mac version. I think I remember reading something about the mac beta being only for america, though i could be mistaken.

if you guys want to believe it or not, my fianc� just bought a white iphone and it is thicker. i bought her a incase slider case and it does not fit. Fit my black iphone just fine. i almost scratched her phone while attempting to put it on and then remove it.

The NDS (at least in the UK) launched with Mario 64 DS and Wario Ware Touched, two great games rated 85 and 81 by metacritic.com respectively.
The 3DS has Street Fighter.
I forgot about those two and with Mario 64, I recall hating the touch-screen analog stick, so never completed it. Wario Ware was fun though and that's a game I borrowed. But the rest, bleh! I played Zelda Minish Cap on my DS when I first got it and then finally finished Zelda LttP(GBA), so at least I had games to play that I enjoyed.
Won't be buying Street Fighter, Capcom is on my shite-list, oh and I've always hated playing fighter games on any portable. :o

If a cheaper laptop PC fits someone's needs then why should they spend extra on a Mac laptop PC that does the same thing?
If you need / prefer OSX then your obviously going to buy a Mac. But, why spend extra money when you don't really have to?
Sure OSX is very nice, but isn't for everyone.. just like windows. Neither is a one fit build.

I think this mentality is a direct result of the growing income gap in the US. If you pay the peons (lower and increasingly middle classes) less, any tax at all is going to hurt them. When the economy contracts, take away more of what makes a civil society civil and ramp up the continual but false idea that we're overtaxed...
