To add my wife I'll need to pay 500+ per month which is pretty expensive. That's why I was looking for outside options. I found some on ehealthinsurance but none of them cover pregnancy.

Sorry, I mistakenly wrote earlier that my I-485 is approved. It is not. It is at pending status. That's why I was wondering if I'm eligible to apply for Unemployement benefit.

Dustinthewind, the preview has good background score and the shots are appropriate. The narrative (labels) that show up are also quite captivating. All together it looks very good and promising, however, I would have liked to see some diaglogues also in between. Maybe a tiny bit longer would have been better. We definitely need to hear the voices of the actors to make it all the more compelling. If there are tragic scenes in the movie a glimpse of those would also be great. Anyway I am not requesting you to change anything but just suggesting a few ways such previews could be more effective. [/I]

Anyone can start a C-Corp in USA, (s)he is not even needed to be present in USA. If you're present then you must be legally present; any valid visa or EAD etc. will do.
The issue becomes a wee bit trickier when it's time to remunerate yourself like drawing a salary. From IRS's point of view, an LLC is nothing more than a proprietorship (sole or partnered), a disregarded entity. Since the income must be filed with your own tax return, it's a "no go" for most H visa holders. For the same reason, most would not want to start an S-Corp. Sice GotFreedom? is on H1 and started an LLC, I would like to know how he's managing his tax returns? I really don't know how does filing tax returns get affected by your spouse's visa status, specifically when you're married and filing jointly.
Apart from the visa situation, you should be concerned about the liability. What if one of your customers wants to sue you? LLC provides "LIMITED" liability protection. if you're not concerned about liability at all, then I would suggest to start as a Sole Proprietorship. You've nothing to do (if you're starting the business in your name such as Mike Hofner's Deli) except to earn money :-) and report it as income in your tax returns. If you want to give a separate name to your entity, file a DBA (Doing Business As) with your state.

I have a unique problem with possibly getting a green card too early. Please let me know how I can make this situation better. My priority date in EB2 India is in Jan 2006, which means potentially I could get my green card in 2-3 months.
I plan to get engaged in December 2008 and married in December 2009 to an Indian born Australian citizen. As far as I can see, her chargeability would be from India.
What are my options to make my life easier and to be able to successfully bring my future wife to the US the easiest possible way. So far, I have 2 options:
1. Use the special E3 work visa for Australian citizens.
2. If I dont get my GC within the next few months, do an early court marriage and invoke the following-to-join spouse when she is ready to come to the US.

I'd got an extension within US, haven't left. Are you sure to put the old visa info. What about the new H1 approval which is valid. Shouldn't one put that info.
BTW, what is the visa no#..is it the control no# or EAC no#...

Is it not possible that Immigration reform is part of the economic reform. Say there are 15 million undocumented workers in US. Because they are undocumented over 99% don't pay taxes. On average if each undocumented pays $10,000/year taxes, it comes to additional revenue of $150 billion every year. This may not be enough to cover the cost of economic recovery, but it is still a substantial amount. Likewise, EB green cards could potentially bring in potential real estate buyers, which would help to bring back the economy.
The point is, immigration bill could be part of the economic agenda to revive the economy.

Hello,
My case is unique. We applied for our AP(for both myself and my spouse) through our Attorney on October 21st and the online case status for our AP petitions changed to,
"Document Production or Oath Ceremony" on November 16th.
Our case notes also said,
"On November 16, 2009 we mailed the document to the address we have on file. You should receive the new document within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283".
It has been 12 Postal business days since the document was mailed out and our Attorney is yet to receive it.
Today I called up USCIS customer service enquiring about my petition. I was told by the CSR that, the "Document Production" doesn't necessarily mean that the document was sent out. It merely means that the Petition was approved and they have moved on to the next step of "Producing" / "Printing" the actual document and once it is produced/printed, it would be mailed out. She also asked me to call them back, 30 days after November 16th, if I still didn't receive the documents.
Whatever the CSR said, contradicts the case notes which clearly says, the Document was mailed out.
Any advises on what I should do?
I have an upcoming Travel by last week of December and I would really like to have my AP document on hand before I exit out of the the country.
Any clues or advises would be highly appreciated.

You should write the job duties, salary , 40hrs.week and get it approved by the lawyer and then email to lawyer. Once lawyer approves you should send it to your friend in Canada and he should print I believe he can notarize in Canada and send it back to you or may be he can print in his company letter head. In case the I-485 is filed concurrently with I-140 or on the basis of a I-140 "pending approval", if the "I-140" is rejected (say because it was incorrectly classified as EB-2 when it should have been EB-3), then is the I-485 also automatically rejected? (My guess: YES)
If this happens to you, does this mean you may not be able to resubmit I-485 if your "priority date" is not current at the time you came to know it got rejected? (My guess: YES... and this is a scary scenario.)
Finally, if the I-140 (EB2) is mentions the requirement to be "BS + 5 years of post BS experience", but the the reviewing officer thinks that the 140 application is not supported by "proper" evidence of 5 years of progressive post BS experience.... then would it generate an RFE or would it straightaway cause a rejection of the I-140?
Experts, please comment. I may have to face this scenario.

Old I-94 expiration date was January 3, 2010, and new I-94 started from October 18, 2010.
Ask your lawyer if you can get the I-94 corrected Nunc Pro Tunc.
