if u switch status from h1 to h4...i think u willl be subjected to cap next time u file for H1..as its a fresh H1 and not H1-Transfer

FP is a definite requirement before AOS is adjudicated. No fp will delay decision. Remember 'low-hanging-fruits' once visa numbers are available
You are correct, Folks who hasn't got the FP done, and their dates are current ( AUG 08 VB), Get a Infopass. It doesn't hurt you, but it may help your case

once and for all.. the adjudicators dont answer calls. its just cust service people...who are contractors. so if u dont call them.. all they will be doing is sitting around doing nothing.

Why do they have 1800 number if the have a same set of person sitting at the US CIS office and the reason why the 1800 ppl do not transfer every call to the US CIS is because they don't want to disturb them. It is exactly because of information like this that the processing is getting delayed. The official stance of the US CIS is that you should contact 1800 number, period. If you have a written/published link which says that the ppl sitting at the service center are NOT adjudicators and are there to provide status updates then kindly share otherwise please do not spread rumours. Further if the IIO are there to provide status updates then why all of a sudden they have stopped doing that?

The CIR includes increases in legal immigration. If the dems take the house, then the house alongwith the already pro-immigrant senate will pass big increases in immigration (family and eb). If i was a republican, i would try to pass CIR after the november elections and before the new congress in January, when he party still has some control. If the dems solve the immigration issue in the next congress when they have the reins, the hispanic vote will heavily tilt democratic for a long time to come.

When i called last time when my wife EAD got approved, they told me the address on the application. So they should know.
Did you get Soft LUD after you filed change of address? If yes, then it's probably updated.

I had filed my I-485 in Oct 2008 (EB2-I, PD of May 2006) and moved in March 2009. I changed my address online and have a confirmation number for it. However, I don't think I have received a confirmation in the mail from USCIS.
I am trying to find out how to confirm if USCIS has my current address correctly on file. I tried to call in today and was told there is no way for them to confirm that on phone. The lady I spoke with took the updated address again -- saying she will refile for change of address and gave me a service ID that I could apparently use to get an infopass appointment 45 days from now.
Is there anything else I should/could do? Appreciate any input.

Even if your visa is expired, if you have valid approval notice, you do not need airport visa. You can refer to the following website: http://www.germany.info/relaunch/info/consular_services/visa/countrylist.html#except4

Where do you get an indication prediction of another bulletin from my side from a simple question such as this? Jan 2000 is way back. It would be interesting to know how many people are still waiting from way back in 2000 in EB2 category which has traditionally been faster approvals then EB3.

Hi,
Have you hear anything from USCIS after you sent your FedEx reciepts?
I am also in the similar kind of situation.
I had applied for H1 extension in month of Jan 2009, and got RFE in the month of Feb,
later my employer sent the required documents asked by USCIS.
On Apr 3, H1 B extension status has been changed to "Denial Notification Sent",
and yet to know the reason for Denial.
My present H1 is valid till mid of next month. Now my employer is re applying for new extension as my I-94 valid for another one month. Can any one suggest if you see any risk if same employer re applies for extension again? If so let me know any other options.

I've never done AR-11 myself because atty. is doing it for me...but when I looked at the on-line AR-11, Change of Address...A# is optional, meaning you do not need to input something on it. I think it was pretty easy to do it.

Did you efile or paper-file? Most of the E-filed applications are taking ~90 days to get to Card Production Ordered (CPO) status. Mine took exactly ninety days.

AC21 allows you to change jobs after 180 days of filing.
